The firm was founded by Abe F. Levy in 1953 and has since devoted itself to the representation of labor unions and injured workers exclusively. In the field of labor relations, Mr. Levy was well respected amongst his peers and spearheaded labor's fight to achieve decent wages and working conditions for all working people. Mr. Levy established numerous precedents before the National Labor Relations Board, Federal Courts and State Courts with regard to the rights of unions as well as the individual worker. Indeed, Mr. Levy assisted in drafting the California Educational Employees Relations Act and the California Higher Educational Employees Relations Act.

In the field of Workers' Compensation, Mr. Levy authored Labor Code Section 4600, the most important piece of legislation regarding workers' compensation in the last 50 years. Section 4600 allowed an injured worker to secure treatment on a "lein" basis and provided the injured worker with an opportunity to secure medical treatment without the express consent of the employer. Prior to the passage of L.C. 4600, injured workers were forced to comply with the recommendations or denial of treatment by "company doctors". Abe F. Levy also founded the California Applicants' Attorney's Association, an organization that fights to preserve the integrity, dignity and rights of the injured worker through the law and state legislature. Although Mr. Levy passed away in 1997 the firm continues to fight on behalf of injured workers and labor unions in his name.

We represent clients in Los Angeles County, Orange County, Alameda County, San Francisco, Sacramento, San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego, and throughout California and Nevada.
