I. Litigation Our litigation attorneys have extensive experience in a broad variety of business, real estate and construction litigation, including disputes involving breach of contract, business torts (i.e., fraud, negligent misrepresentation, interference with prospective economic advantage, etc.), corporate shareholder litigation, partnership litigation, trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, lender liability, disputes over real estate sales, financing, title and escrow, interdeveloper litigation, environmental litigation, soils subsidence and a very broad range of construction defects cases. Our litigation experience has included complex, document-intensive cases with multimillion dollar amounts in controversy. We regularly work for in-house legal departments of large companies.

Our firm also works in the area of municipal law in both administrative and judicial forums, including the representation of developers and owners in municipal redevelopment acquisition, zoning, conditional use permit, variance, eminent domain and inverse condemnation matters.

The litigation practice also includes products liability and general liability defense work for insurance carriers and self-insured clients. The firm has defended a wide variety of products used in the construction, agricultural, recreational and automotive industries. The firm was active in the large-scale MGM Grand Hotel fire litigation and in the Los Angeles Asbestos Litigation. Our litigation attorneys have also handled probate and trust litigation and sophisticated personal injury litigation.

II. Transactional Our transactional attorneys handle a wide variety of matters, including the formation of corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, limited partnerships, joint ventures and syndications, business acquisition and mergers, securities offerings and regulation, license rights, franchise law, employment agreements and general corporate practice. In addition, our transactional attorneys also handle corporate, partnership, individual, estate, sales and property tax matters for clients. Our transactional attorneys also have a great deal of experience in estate planning (e.g., wills and trusts) and probate proceedings.

III. Creditors' Rights and Debt Collections Our creditors' rights and collections group specializes in Federal Student Loan collection, Small Business Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Health and Human Service, Department of Housing and Urban Development, retail, and commercial collections, on a contingent fee basis. Its collectors have extensive background in the collection industry and bring to the firm abilities in skip tracing, credit analysis and asset location. The use of in-house collectors within a law firm has given our collection clients very effective results. When a collections matter requires litigation, we have lawyers with significant experience in how to obtain prejudgment writs of attachment, writs of possession, relief from automatic stay orders in bankruptcy and all other aspects of collections lawsuits.

If our firm is unable to handle a particular matter for an existing client, we assist the client in finding suitable counsel and, at the client's request, will serve as coordinating or oversight counsel.
